Peace Ambassadors

Set For Middle East

Two enterprising peace loving young people are making plans to visit Israel & Palestine in what is seen as an example to us all. Jodi & Daniel aim to start their epic journey at the end of June. They will focus on non-violent ways in which to help resolve the conflict between these countries. Here is the story in their own words.

Dear friends,

We?re a small group of people from the UK who are travelling to Israel and the Palestinian territories overland this summer. We go with the intention to learn about non-violence, the world, ourselves, what individuals can do to effect social change and life in both Israel and The Palestinian Territories.

We will be working with various organisations along the way and in the region as well as spending time with communities in Israel and Palestine and marginalized groups such as the Bedouin of the Negev, Ethiopian Immigrants to Israel and the Druze. We?ll be focussing in particular on the role of the individual in conflict resolution and how we can all use active non-violence in our everyday lives.

Our website (www.small-steps.net) has more information about this project.

We?re looking for any people who would like to join us on the journey and thought that maybe members of your organisation or some of your affiliates may be interested in joining us. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please get in touch or feel free to pass on our details to anyone who may be. Also, if you have any ideas or advice you'd like to share, it would be appreciated. Perhaps you know of some people we could work with in the region or others who would be interested in what we?re doing?

Many thanks, looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Daniel and Jodi at small steps
